    Fallout the movie

  65. horipet on July 9, 2015 at 1:47 am

I enjoyed that! I’ve been interested in ‘alternative’ filmmaking for many
years – the studios don’t always give us what we want – so I’m delighted
that my friend Lauren Oliver is making a movie about a fictional Mercury
astronaut. And no digital nonsense – it will be shot on 35mm b/w FILM.
“The story begins hours away from the last rocket launch of the Mercury
era–1963. NASA discovers that Fletcher is hiding something: a critical
health problem that violates every medical regulation known. The launch is
held up while Fletcher stews in his capsule and the flight surgeon on the
ground tries to make connections that will shut down the astronaut’s dreams
for good. Will the dreamer triumph against the dreamless?”
While the characters are fictional, the setting is real and meticulously
researched. They’ve even gotten help from someone who was actually there:
Rene Carpenter, the widow of Project Mercury astronaut Scott Carpenter. I
recently met two of the talented and charming actors, and I’m privileged to
have read the script – it’s splendid.

I almost didn’t watch this one. I’m glad I did. That’s some great
animation, some darn good actors and a surprisingly and genuinely happy
ending. My only regret is that I have but one like to give.

  159. morelli tech on January 4, 2015 at 2:01 pm

Too much dialogue. The actors needed to shut up. ?

  160. max alburg on January 4, 2015 at 10:52 am

i liked it — maybe the costume could have been a more scruffed up, as
opposed to ripped up in obvious places to resemble worn, and that shot
gun looked too tiny, like a toy, weather it was real or not, always go
with the bigger gun. lol —

and the acting and fight scene could have been a little more realistic …
and the bodies exploding into a ketchuppy type syrup that flys all overthe
    place… meh — a bit much…

but over all i enjoyed it. thumbs up .

Overall I liked it. It dragged a bit, trying to make the point of
desolation but i get WHY that was the tempo. Otherwise surprisingly well
acted and well put together. I’ll be following this crew going forward.
